Dell Equallogic PS5000E - (SOLVED)
Hey guys,
I'm in need of your help. I'm a contributing VIP here and am on the top 10 for donation amount, so i hope someone here can help me out.
I currently work for a screwdriving company and an in need of some assistance. I just purchased some new drives to expand our equallogic system, and I'm not sure how to go about adding these drives. I could just slide them all into the tower one after the other, but I can't seem to find info on how I'm meant to do this (all at once, or wait for each to initialize, or what...). Maybe I'm just over thinking it, but I have 8 empty slots, and purchased 8 new drives and trays. from what I read, you can just hot swap them in and party on, but I'm pretty paranoid about taking down our system here as my job is on the line. can someone give me a very basic walk through of what I should do to install these?
The system is running in rade5 configuration with 8 drives functioning at the moment.
