Stefan Viehböck is a freelance Information Security researcher and an Information Security student from Austria. He was the first guy who reported the WIFI Protected Setup (WPS) vulnerability that allows an attacker to bruteforce the pin and retrieve retrieve the WPA/WPA2 passphrases as described in http://sviehb.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/viehboeck_wps.pdf

Facts

The WPS vulnerability was independently discovered by Craig Heffner of Tactical Network Solutions but Stefan was the first guy who reported the vulnerability and released the information about it to US-CERT.

After the Tactical Network Solutions released reaver, he also released his PoC Brute Force Tool which is faster than reaver but but will not work with all Wi-Fi adapters.
