Biography:

Raven Alder is a Security consultant who is known for tracing spoofed distributed denial of service attacks. She is the first female woman to present her talk at DefCon Hacker Conference and also a renowned Shmoocon speaker. Her laptop which was running OS X was pwned at Schmoocon then concluded that "Zero day can happen to anyone".

Facts

Earned the attention of infosec jockeys around the world when she came to the conclusion that her shoddy job of securing her laptop at a convention infested with ex-hackers was somehow Apple's fault.

Co-authored the book "Stealing the Network: How to Own an Identity".

Rumors

Her laptop was taken down because she let her boyfriend play with her laptop which disabled her firewall.
