Defcon in Canada?

I have done a small amount of research on security related conferences in Canada. Defcon seems to be held in Las Vegas which I am not allowed to enter the USA. I found REcon ( http://www.recon.cx/ ) which is held in Montreal but does not seem to be active in 2009. Can anyone suggest a Defcon type conference in Canada that is consistent?
