SOLDIERX.COM Nobody Can Stop Information Insemination

I work with computers alot, and want to learn how they work from the inside out. My hardware knowledge is decent, and I have learned a good bit of programming in java. I recently decided to try to master C++, and noticed right off the back that it is alot different than java. I'm running bloodshed DevC++ as my compiler, and would like to know how to begin my programs. Just basic Text for right now and I will start working with numbers, loops, and graphics in due time. If anyone can help get me started, that would be greatly appreciated.
