For a while, SSDs have had many ups and downs, pros and cons. Have read much at many sites on the web. High dollars, potentially short lives (depending on which type), used to be much slower than disk technology...now getting much better speed than before.

Anyone here actually used them much? Different models? Older/newer?

Looking for personal experience with them, and comments from that.

Speculation on future? Will they be replaced with better tech before ever coming to maturity?
