has anyone repaired bent pins on a CPU?

just curious if anyone else has had to do this. my brother thought he should remove his heatsink to dust out his pc, and the processor came with it. then he tried to cram it back down and bent a few pins (thankfully only a few). after i carefully bent them back with a knife and reinstalled everything he decided to wipe the system and reinstall windows 7, and so far it looks like everything's working out ok...
so, has anyone else had to deal with something as dumb as this?
