xp upgrade key?

ok so i kinda messed my system up and needed to reload windows xp.. well, i think my system was xp media center and i tried to do install repair with a windows xp pro sp3 disk.. and now its asking for a windows pro upgrade key to finish installation... it even does this when i try to install repair with the media center disk... the info is important.. and so is how this hdd runs.. is there any solution to this? does someone have a key? or know a way i can revert this?
