Hi,

i have the following setup:

 +-------------+       +-------+       +------------+
 |             |       | DDWRT |       |            |
 |  Windooze7  |       | WLAN  |       |   Gentoo   |
 |             |       +---+---+       |            |
 +------+------+           |           +-----+------+
        |           +------+-----+           |
        |           |            |           |
        +-----------+  OpenBSD   +-----------+
                    |            |
                    +-----+------+
                          |
                          |
                          |
                  +-------v-------+
                  |               |
                  |               |
                  |    Internet   |
                  |               |
                  |               |
                  +---------------+

During my Gentoo VM-Host Setup i ran into some networking issues.
They are solved by now, but i don't understand why the steps i had to take were necessary.

I did not get ICMP-Replys from Windooze if i pinged it from Gentoo.
I got ICMP-Replys from Gentoo when pinged from Windooze.
Windows was pingable and replyed to/from OpenBSD.
I did not try pings from WLAN to Windooze.

Why did i had to allow incoming ICMPv4 Packets on the Windooze Failwall? It did reply to OBSD pings, i don't get it. Stare
