Hello, so I am going back to school soon and will be again stuck on the University's Network for internet access. They require a log-in to use their network. They also have a strict policy about downloading any kind of copyrighted material. (taking away internet privileges and such) I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how I could hide my identity while I was one the network. Or if anyone has an idea on how to log in without a username. I have heard that it is possible to "bounce" your ip-address and therefore become harder to pinpoint. Can anyone elaborate on the "bouncing" or explain how it is done / recommend any software that does such things or if I have to make my own. Also I was wondering if I used a proxy to surf / download if that would allow me to be anonymous to the system admins. Or If I can find out some way to see If they are watching my connection and therefore cease whatever I was doing. I am currently using "Peer Guardian 2" I know it blocks ip's from directly accessing my computer but wasn't sure if that would prevent system admins from watching my activity. I do apologize for being all over the place in this post I'm just not sure what to do. Any help will be spread to other students to continue the spread of free information. Thank you for your time.
