SOLDIERX.COM Nobody Can Stop Information Insemination

I'd like to start dropping some video tuts for the forum but I need some reccomendations on software.

Currently I need 2 softwares minimum, one for Desktop style recording or mutliple VM recording and an editor.

I'd like to do a simply display or vm catpure across a few VM's then edit them, toss in some music and post.. I dont need anything too fancy as I could care less about useless effects and what not. Ideas?

Side note: the last time I edited a video was around 1999...
