Structural Changes to SOLDIERX, New Recruit Status
As many of you probably already know, we have been working hard to make SOLDIERX more organized and efficient. Our previous addition of inductee status did wonders for getting fresh talent in the group. Unfortunately, it has suffered in the same way that our previous membership suffered - a few really unproductive individuals are able to cause everybody to want to slack off. Based on traffic analysis, it seems that these unproductive inductees were simply using their inductee status to gain access to restricted content without having to pay any dues, such as VIP costs. The high council has thought long and hard about how to solve this problem, and we have finally come up with a solution. Our solution is the new recruit status. It enables people to join the group in a "recruitment" phase where their only additional perk is the ability to add certain types of content to the site. After their content has been evaluated and they seem to be good to go, we can upgrade them to inductee status and they can continue to work towards full crew membership.
This is our first major change. As you can see from the crew section, only a few of the inductees got to keep their inductee status. The others have all been moved to recruit status until they get additional content added to the site. Our second major change is that members are now more responsible for inductees/recruits. Our members are going to continually be held to a higher standard and will be forced into retirement if they are not able to fulfill their promises. This is all part of a movement to get the group to be more productive and skilled as a whole. This means a better environment for our fellow members/inductees/recruits, as well as a better environment for our normal users.
