need a bit of help

Does anyone know what a Spectrophotometer is? I have one here at work and they are willing to pay me big bucks to get it operational. if I can get some help tracking down the cheapest software for it and the best computer setup i would give SX a nice chunk of the money I get for doing it.
it is a Datacolor International Microflash 200d serial 146 it was produced in 1992 and was as far as I know quite a pricey purchase. if anyone knows where to start looking let me know.
I googled as much as I can and found next to nothing so your guess is as good as mine.
I have already contacted the company and I am waiting on a return call. they no longer have support for it on their website.
