Ron Rivest

Biography: 

Ronald Rivest was born on 1947 in Schenectady, New York. He is a notable cryptographer who is one of the inventors of the RSA algorithm (along with Adi Shamir and Len Adleman). He is the inventor of the symmetric key encryption algorithms RC2, RC4, RC5, and co-inventor of RC6. He was also a founder of RSA Data Security (now merged with Security Dynamics to form RSA Security) and of Peppercoin.

He is an internationally renowned security technologist, cryptographer, computer security specialist, and author. He is described by The Economist as a "security guru," he is best known as a refreshingly candid and lucid security critic and commentator.
