DECAF hacked and re-enabled by SX

Happy holidays everybody! As part one of our holiday releases, we have hacked and re-enabled the popular DECAF tool that was mentioned in our previous news post. We were in full support of the application until we learned that it phoned home and that it could be remotely disabled by the authors. Unfortunately they decided to disable it a few days ago on account of Jesus. The original message can be viewed here. We have hacked it so that it no longer phones home and it no longer can be disabled.

DECAF Released to Combat Microsoft COFEE

decafme.org have released software they say sabotages a suite of forensics utilities Microsoft provides for free to hundreds of law enforcement agencies across the globe.

DECAF (Detect and Eliminate Computer Assisted Forensics) is a light-weight application that monitors Windows systems for the presence of COFEE, a bundle of some 150 point-and-click tools used by police to collect digital evidence at crime scenes. When a USB stick containing the Microsoft software is attached to a protected PC, Decaf automatically executes a variety of countermeasures. Additional information is available on The Register

United States Military Intelligence Searching SOLDIERX

Our FED monitors blew up today with messages that somebody from 128.190.125.2, also known as the USAISC (United States Army Information Systems Command). After they got access denied messages when trying to access the pages they wanted, they created an account. I'm not going to reveal their account on here (it will be disclosed to VIP), but they know who I am talking about. They pulled up some data on Durandal, rainbow tables, and Kevin Mitnick. Keep in mind that if you are accessing this site from a government computer, we are watching you.

Help spread the word about this contest and get your submissions in before 01-01-2010. Please submit all entries to [email protected]

Agent Steal Public Release - A Gift From SX To The Geek Squad

After weeks of testing by crew members and VIP site members, Agent Steal is ready for public release. This tool was written as an apology to Geek Squad for our community cracking their MRI. If it confuses you why Geek Squad would want a tool to steal files off of a customer's PC, maybe you should read Consumerist Catches Geek Squad Stealing Porn. This tool was written in February of 2009, so it took a long time for me to get around to releasing it. Future Labs projects will hopefully have a much faster turnaround time. We already have plans for password stealing add-on tools, so hopefully those will be released before the holidays.

New PSP tutorial up

Today, a second PSP tutorial has been made available which continues where the first left off by explaining how to enable functions usually available in Custom Firmware on models like the the 2000 series with TA-088v3 motherboards and PSP 3000 series which cannot have custom firmware flashed onto them. With the completion of this tutorial, I wish to receive input on if I should do another PSP related tutorial or make a tutorial for another console.
