Amp

Biography:

Amp has been a member of SOLDIERX since 2000. His more notable contributions include flash animations for the community and numerous tutorials. (Which include, but are not limited to one on free dial-up internet access published in 2000, and more recently the Basic Programming Concepts series of tutorials that were started in 2011 and as of July 2013 is updated and added to as seen fit by him.) Shortly after a period as Vice President in 2001 to 2002, he opted to take a temporary leave of absence from SX due to outside commitments taking up much of his time. Despite opting to stay outside of the scene, he has helped with some of the creative work behind SOLDIERX through the years.

Despite being hesitant to do so, April 2008 he took the role of Presidential Adviser due to tensions rising between members of the group. In September 2008, he would directly intervene after audiofiles of Durandal snitching on other members surfaced and with RaT's blessing expelled him from SX. In October 2009, he would step out of the role of Presidential Adviser as these tensions were resolved by that point and acted mainly as an Enforcer. On March 29th, 2010, Amp announced his retirement from SoldierX as he felt that he was no longer able to effectively contribute to SoldierX due to lack of availability. However, he would still contribute to the site regularly.

In April 2011, he was informed by RaT that he contributed more content than many active members despite his minimal availability. This would prompt him to make a scathing post about the perceived lack of productivity from the crew and shortly thereafter return as crew.

BadGer

IRL Name:
Dustin
Biography:

Former VP of SOLDIERX. Generally known as a drunk due to his "BadGer versus Budweiser" profile.

He broke away from the group circa 2001 after there was an argument between him and RaT - due to him not refunding money to people who paid to stay in the SX room at Defcon, but later decided not to stay there. He was the VP from 1999 until 2001. He had a small stint at Hewlett Packard, but left the company due to not being paid what he felt was acceptable. After that, he left computers - although he did show up to a SOLDIERX gathering in 2010.

cisc0ninja

IRL Name:
Shawn Burrell
Biography:

Once referred to as the only person at Defcon who can actually dance, cisc0ninja has been with SOLDIERX since its rebirth in 2002. Some of his tutorials have been the most popular on the site, especially to the Chinese and Russians. He spent precious time that he could use working on computers either modifying his car or chasing women (currently spends all of his time gaming). He can speak, read, and write several Asian languages - and he uses this skill to chase his yellow fever.

He was a critical component in the creation and construction of the SX HDB and tools section. Under his direction, SX currently has the largest organized online database of attack tools. After his work on the tools section, he decided he was sick of doing information security and moved onto gaming and overpriced Chinese hookers. He can currently be found spending his days and nights on ESO or other MMORPG related titles.

Durandal

IRL Name:
Kyle Barnthouse
Biography:

Durandal is not known for any hacks or accomplishments. The only thing he is known for is his time in SOLDIERX and for being the only member that was ever exiled by SOLDIERX. He was brought into SOLDIERX by BadGer, the former Vice President of SOLDIERX. According to BadGer, Durandal was an annoying kid who would not leave him alone until he let him become a member. This went unknown for almost 10 years (when BadGer came forward after hearing of Durandal's expulsion from the group).

Through snitching and hustling, Durandal lied his way into the rank of Vice President of SOLDIERX. After promising to give a speech at Defcon 16 and then failing to work on it or even show up, Durandal was stripped of his rank in SOLDIERX. Several weeks later, recordings surfaced of a conversation where he attempted to dime out other members of SOLDIERX. Upon this revelation, Amp posted the recordings and announced his immediate expulsion from the group. Afterwards, other accounts were submitted and verified - including his involvement as a narc against both David Condrey (Conundrum) and Anthony Jerdine. On another note, it turns out that the person who social engineered him over the phone was Kevin Mitnick (or at least claimed to be).
